Real Madrid sign Jović
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jović, according to Sky Sports News.
The British sports news channel understand that the Serbian striker will move to the Spanish giants in a €60 million (£52.4m) deal from the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League semi-finalists.
Jović has signed a five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, according to the report. Neither club has yet to officially announce the transfer.
The Serbian international is having a breakthrough season in the German Bundesliga, where he has scored 17 goals in 31 appearances (24 starts), and a further 10 goals in 14 Europa League games (11 starts).
It’s an interesting move from Zinedine Zidane’s side given that the prolific Raúl de Tomás will be back from his season-long loan from Rayo Valleacno in the coming weeks.
Real Madrid currently only have Karim Benzema as a proven striker in their squad and the former France international turns 32 in December. The manager has an old squad to rebuild in the coming years and many youngsters have been given a chance in the final few weeks of this disappointing campaign.
Luka Jović only joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent basis back in January, having originally been on loan for a second season at the Commerzbank-Arena.
